Almost all of us have ordered something at sometime, only to later realise we intended to order something different. Or sometimes, even when we do order the correct item, when it arrives, we find it’s not quite what we expected. It’s happened to us all. That’s why at Fuel Tank Store, we’re happy to refund in full, all standard products returned to us in a resellable condition. And if your order has not yet been dispatched, usually you can cancel, change or update it.
If you take delivery of a product and decide you do not wish to keep it, please let us know within 14 days of receiving your completed order. You can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call us in the UK on 01789 632 151 and in Ireland on 01 5268 642. We’ll issue you with a Goods Return Number. This number should be stated clearly on any subsequent correspondence with us.
Next, you have a further 14 days to return your unwanted goods to us.
Returned products should be in a resellable condition. If products are returned damaged or are not suitable for resale, we reserve the right to deduct any loss in value from your refund. We’ll let you know of course, before we do this. To reduce the risk of loss, we always recommend you fully insure all product returns.
Once we receive your returned item(s), we’ll issue a refund to your credit / debit card or payment account within 5 working days.
You can cancel, change or amend an order prior to it being dispatched. To do so, please e-mail email@example.com, call us in the UK on 011789 632 151 and in Ireland on 01 5268 642 as soon as possible. Please be aware that once an item has been dispatched for delivery, it’s usually not possible to cancel delivery.
We’re happy to receive and refund unwanted products in a resellable condition. However, you should be aware that the cost of returning storage tanks and other large products can be considerable. We recommend you take great care when ordering larger products. In particular, you should carefully check product dimensions, installation requirements, weights and voltages before confirming your order.
Regretfully, we are unable to accept returns on ‘made to order’ products, unless defective. We also cannot issue a refund on any ‘made to order’ or bespoke product, once manufacturing is complete. ‘Made to order’ products are those products which we do not normally stock and which is manufactured by our suppliers to fulfil a specific customer order e.g. Top Outlet Heating Oil Tanks. Where a product is supplied on a ‘made to order’ basis, this is clearly stated on the applicable product page.
Our Returns and Refunds policies are in addition to your statutory rights, which remain unaffected.
